The Dawnay Arms, built in 1779 is situated in the picturesque village of Newton on Ouse,at the gates to Beningbrough Hall. With a large garden to the rear, which stretches down to the river.

Covid-19

To ensure we all keep safe we have put in place some extra measures in line with Government guidance. Please see details below

 

  • On arrival, please enter through the front door only.
  • Face masks must be worn in the premises, unless at your table.
  • When at your table, please keep your mask in a bag or a pocket. Not on our tables.
  • You will need to provide us with name and phone number for your party. This will be kept secure for 21 days and then destroyed.
  • Table service only.
  • Groups of no more than 6 please, and no grouping of tables.
  • Please respect all social distancing measures when moving throughout the premises.
  • Alongside our usual strict cleaning procedures, we have also placed sanitiser stations for your use.
  • All team members will continue with their usual regular hygiene. Hand washing every 15 minutes and between individual table services and moving rooms. They will be wearing appropriate face coverings to welcome you and during service for all our extra safety
  • We will be offering a pre order option when you book a dining table to maintain maximum social distancing. Menus are sanitised after every use.
  • We encourage you to use contactless payments
  • Dogs are welcome as always, but must be kept on a lead at all times.
  • To maintain adequate social distancing children must remain at the table with you during your visit.
